My mother and I are driving from Ohio to New York on Wednesday. Unfortunately (for me), she doesn’t want to listen to blink-182 on repeat the whole way there, which is probably what I’d listen to if I made the drive all by myself. I get the feeling she’s not a huge blink-182 fan at all, really.
I’ve come to find that we don’t have drastically different tastes in music, though. She doesn’t hate everything I like, although I’ve come a long way from Destiny’s Child and the Spice Girls and Good Charlotte. In fact, we went to see John Mayer in concert together a few years back. She really loves “Jesus Walks” by Kanye for some reason (we’re Jewish).
With all of the above in mind, I bring you this playlist.
1. Hash Pipe – Weezer
2. Get Back – The Beatles
3. Lost! – Coldplay
4. Shut Up and Let Me Go – The Ting Tings
5. Gravity – John Mayer
6. Jesus Walks – Kanye West
7. The Greatest Man That Ever Lived – Weezer
8. Waterfalls – TLC
Lol this is an awesome playlist
I made a four cd trip mix for my mom and I to listen to on long road trips. It includes a lot of Regina Spektor, Rufus Wainwright, Mumford and Sons, James Taylor, Sarah McLachlan, musicals, seals and crofts, paolo nutini, yael naim… I even have the cast recording of Buffy the Vampire Slayer “Once More with Feeling” on there…. I haven’t heard any complaints lol…. yet
Have fun on your trip!!!
